From the Director

I've never been good at long goodbye's, I'd rather not say goodbye at all -- so, I won't! I'll just say thank you.
These past eight years have seen many positive changes at the Essex Library and in our town, and I'm honored to have been a part of this community.  My heartfelt thanks for the opportunity to serve you all as your librarian, and to work with the absolutely stellar group of volunteers and staff that I have had the pleasure of knowing since my family's arrival in Essex in 1998.
What comes across so clearly from my years here is that Essex people value community spirit, volunteerism, education, the pursuit of knowledge, and opportunities for life-long learning -- all with a very healthy dose of fun.
I will miss working with you all on a daily basis, but look forward to seeing you again soon.
